About Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA)

The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) scheme was launched during 2005-2006 to promote extension delivery consistent with farming systems approach and extension needs emerging through Strategic Research and Extension Plan (SREP).

ATMA Model, Farm Information and Advisory Centre (FIAC) at block level is an important institutional innovation that helps establish a demand driven extension system by providing formal feedback and building better accountability to extension services.

To promote unity and cooperation among ATMA staff members throughout Odisha, while facilitating the implementation of agricultural development programmes and fostering technical knowledge exchange for the benefit of farming communities across the state.

Our Journey

Key milestones in OSASA’s development

April 2021
Foundation Meeting
Initial meeting held to establish the society and discuss the formation of OSASA. Members agreed to start social organization in the name of “ODISHA STATE ATMA STAFF ASSOCIATION”.

April 15, 2021
Executive Body Election
Democratic election of governing body members conducted. Executive committee and general body formation completed with all positions filled through consensus.

June 2021
Registration Process
Society registration initiated with Board of Revenue, Odisha. Documents prepared and submitted under Societies Registration Act XXI-1860.

July 19, 2021
Official Registration
OSASA officially registered with Registration No. 7202100041. Memorandum of Association and Bylaws approved and documented.

2024
Digital Platform
Launch of digital election platform and member portal to enhance transparency and democratic participation in association activities.
